My Healing Journey

From surviving to truly living

This work isn’t theory for me. It’s the path I walked myself, and the reason I do what I do.

Heal the Root was born from my own journey of healing trauma, regulating my nervous system, and breaking free from years of survival mode. Now, my mission is to help others reconnect with themselves and heal from the root.

After struggling with trauma and mental health challenges for over 15 years, I experienced the darkest period of my life in 2024. Anxiety, depression, CPTSD, survival mode, constant highs and lows: it became a cycle I couldn’t seem to escape.

For years, I tried the conventional route: therapy, counselling, and medication. While these helped at times, I always found myself falling back into the same patterns. Good days followed by bad days. Temporary relief followed by emotional exhaustion. Deep down, I knew there had to be more than just surviving life.

In January 2025, everything changed. I made the decision that I could no longer live trapped in survival mode. Instead of running from my pain, I finally faced it head on. I began healing the root cause rather than only managing the symptoms.

Through nervous system regulation, self-awareness, emotional healing, and learning practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and fight-or-flight responses, I slowly started to transform my life. I committed fully to my healing journey and put everything I learned into practice every single day.

I haven’t had a “bad day” since last year. For the first time, I’m truly living instead of simply surviving.

Today, I live in a way I never thought was possible. I wake up feeling calm, regulated, peaceful, and genuinely happy. I no longer live with anxiety controlling my life, constant overthinking, or the emotional highs and lows that once consumed me.

I’m also a suicide survivor, which means I deeply understand what it feels like to hit rock bottom and feel lost within yourself. My journey has given me not only lived experience, but also the passion and purpose to help others find their way back to themselves too.

Over the past year and a half, I’ve expanded my knowledge, gained qualifications, and dedicated myself to understanding trauma, neuroscience, healing, and the nervous system on a deeper level. I am now ready and qualified to guide others through their own healing journey.

At Heal the Root, my mission is to help you regulate your nervous system, understand your trauma and how it’s affected your nervous system and thought process, break the cycle, rewire your brain to think more positively, reconnect with who you truly are, and create a life built on peace, alignment, and emotional freedom, instead of trauma, fear, anxiety, chaos, and survival mode controlling your life.
